Skylar Rae® Cherry (Tip Top Cultivar)
The firmness tested from a Skylar Rae® Cherry (Tip Top Cultivar) has an average above 450 with a high reading above 1,000. Apparently bruise resistant may be one of the Skylar Rae® Cherries (Tip Top Cultivar) strong traits, the other strong trait is the high sugar content of 28.5+ brix one day prior to picking. Malic Acid levels were 0.679 which are considered moderate to high and could be one of the reasons for the beautiful clear flesh. The shape of the Skylar Rae® Cherry (Tip Top Cultivar) is very similar to Rainier, the color is a beautiful orange red blush over a bright yellow background with more blush color on the fruits than Rainier’s grown close by. No tests have been done yet using color up products.
Tip Top Orchards, LLC, owner of the cherry cultivar named "Tip Top" and owner of the trademark used in marketing Skylar Rae® Cherries (Tip Top Cultivar) have signed an exclusive Patent and Trademark License Agreement with Snyder LLC and C & 0 Nursery Company to propagate, market and sell the cultivar and to use the Trademark throughout the world.
